Thank you friends new and old for joining us for the debut of the newest site dedicated to the fans of comic books: Capes and Tights!
Here at Capes and Tights, we hope to carry on with the traditions and standards set by the members of JLAUniverse. For those of you who are new to both JLAU and CaT, we are a band of fans and friends who have come together within and beyond the boundaries of comic books and super heroes. We learn from one another about different tastes, opinions and experiences through discussions of different topics in the forums.
The most exciting feature of Capes and Tights is encouragement of discussion beyond the DC Universe, expanding to the fans Marvel Comics and other comic books that were previously unrepresented. This should increase the level of board activity as well as open the door to new members who passed on JLAU in hopes of finding a website to discuss different titles.
Like most discussion boards, there are also general topics away from the featured theme of the website. Capes and Tights encourages members to participate in these topics to promote a level of friendship between each member. Discuss movies, television, sports, games, books, or whatever your heart desires. If you don’t see a topic for what you wish to share with others, by all means…start one!
We are not here to give you a forum of discussion while standing over your shoulder to make sure you follow the rules. We hope you can respect other members, this site and yourself by following the general guidelines on your own. We do not like reminding members to respect others and the site, but we will do what we have to. So please, have fun and respect others.
Well, we think you get it. If not, just play along and you’ll figure it out soon enough. We hope you enjoy yourself here as much as (we hope) we will.
